2025/26 Updated SPPS & JHS Cell Phone Policy

Learning ON = Cellphones OFF

Learning ON = Cellphones OFF

New Cell Policy For SPPS Schools

At Johnson Senior High School:
It is very important and imperative to remember that during class periods, all cell phones and devices should be turned off to minimize distractions and ensure a focused learning environment. Cell phones and devices should not only be powered down but also kept off your person to avoid any temptation to check notifications or messages. It is the expectation that cell phones and devices should be stored securely in your locker or in designated classroom cell phone pouches. This approach helps us as a ONE Johnson community to maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning, allowing students to engage fully with their lessons and participate actively with teacher's instruction without the interruptions that technology such as cell phones and other devices can bring. In accordance with Saint Paul Public Schools Board of Education Policy 550.00.
