Our Mission

The Johnson High School English Department is dedicated to fostering a love of language and literature, developing critical thinking skills, and preparing students for success in college and beyond. We strive to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students can explore diverse perspectives, express themselves creatively, and become lifelong learners.

What We Offer

Rigorous Academic Courses: We offer a variety of courses, including English 9. 10, 11 and 12, as well as AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, CIS Freshman Composition and CIS Introduction to Modern Literature (U of M credit)

Our courses are designed to prepare students for college-level work and careers in fields such as writing, journalism, law, and education.
