This course provides students the pathway to learn the necessities that they will use throughout their lifetime, both personally and on the job. The course will focus on developing skills in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software applications. This course will help students prepare for the Microsoft Office Specialist exams in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Students will develop production pieces such as emails, social media profiles and posts, announcements, research reports, resumes, and business letters. Students will create worksheets with formulas and functions, and graphical charts. Students will learn to develop presentations with charts, graphics and special effects, and become familiar with the ethics of copyright, downloading, and file sharing.
