Parent Advisory Council
The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is an extension of the Johnson community and all families are invited to attend. PAC is a parent/family meeting time focused on an open exchange of information and ideas between JHS, our families and from family to family. Attending meetings provides parents and guardians the opportunity to meet and talk with the principal, other members of the staff and other JHS parents. The principal prepares the agenda and on occasion invites various staff members to give reports and updates and answer questions from parents. The principal gives a report on various topics, including but not limited to the curriculum, the school's budget, building projects, new programs and events.
In addition, every meeting includes discussion regarding Johnson's School Continuous Improvement Plan (SCIP) and Family Engagement Plan (FEP) and concludes with an opportunity for those in attendance to openly discuss topics of their choice.
All parents, guardians and caring adults of Johnson students are encouraged to attend. The JHS Advisory Committee meets bi-monthly from 6-7 p.m. Interpreters, transportation and child care may be available upon request when the meeting is in-person.
Contact Dorene Brookins at 651-744-3604 or at dorene.brookins@spps.org with questions or if you are in need of an interpreter, transportation or child care.
