Staff profile

Hello! I've been teaching math at Johnson since 1997. My undergraduate degree is in mathematics from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. I started my career in business and went back to school to get my teaching credentials and master's degree from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls. I student taught at JHS in the fall of 1996. The best part of teaching is getting to know my students and seeing them develop into young adults with a world of possibilities in front of them. I'm an avid traveler and can get side tracked with anecdotes from my various adventures. I love to swim and be active. I also like to read, especially with a cat on my lap. During Covid the fun activity that I started was to learn to tap dance! I'm also an advocate for teachers and am a trustee on the St Paul Teacher's Retirement Fund Board, a member of the St Paul Teacher's Pension PAC and a SPFE union steward for JHS.
