Welcome to Johnson Senior High School!
I am a Multilingual Learner Teacher (MLL) in Saint Paul Public Schools that strives to create an equitable learning environment to ensure English Learners (ELs) are able to reach their highest potential. I bring a variety of experience in helping all ELs feel represented and accepted for who they are across all grade levels, ranging from second grade on up through twelfth grade. I have served as a classroom teacher, across a variety of schools in the Saint Paul School District. I understand the importance of cross departmental collaboration amongst staff. I am very aware of the linguistic and cultural capital that students and families bring to our ONE Johnson community.
Going into my third year of teaching at Johnson Senior High School and my 24th year in the district, I look forward to partnering with families, students, staff and the greater community to continue the great legacy here at Johnson. I will advocate to provide access and opportunity and success for all of my students regarding each of their individual English Language Developmental needs.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Justice and Peace studies from the University of St. Thomas, and a Master of Arts degree in Education from the University of St. Thomas. Most recently I have received my graduate ESL licensure from the University of St. Thomas. Together we can make it a great school year!
