Staff profile

I joined the incredible team at Johnson Senior High in 2019, bringing my passion for special education and my energy as one of the cross country coaches. My journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Math and Biology from the University of Minnesota in 2007. In 2017, I took my expertise to the next level by completing the Academic and Behavioral Strategist (ABS) licensure program and earning a Master's in Special Education. Just last year, in 2023, I proudly added an Emotional and Behavioral Disorder add-on license to my qualifications.

Throughout my teaching career, I've had the joy of exploring a wide range of subjects with my students, from Intermediate Algebra and Geometry to Biology, Aerospace and Engineering Physical Science, and beyond. Each subject presents a new adventure and opportunity to inspire.

Outside of school, I cherish time with my family and friends, and I thrive on the thrill of running and cycling. The outdoors is my playground, and I can't wait to bring that enthusiasm back to the classroom and the track for another fantastic year at JHS!
