Staff profile

I came to Johnson in 2012 as a Social Studies teacher. I’ve wanted to work in this field ever since I was a little girl, so every day is a dream! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, and a Master’s in Urban Education. My favorite thing about teaching is the work we do to help develop strong global citizens. I believe curiosity and drive are the greatest strengths we can draw from! Over the years I have taught Freshman Focus, World History, Accelerated and AP World History, Sociology, Plague, Pox, and Pestilence, and U.S. Government. In my free time, I love traveling, gardening, and reading. But my favorite thing of all is spontaneous explorations with my partner, our son, and our dog! I’m excited for another wonderful year at JHS!
