Right Track Spring and Summer Internships
Right Track will be at Johnson on Monday, January 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in room 2422 to talk to students about student paperwork for internships. If you applied for an internship, you will get an email from me about this.
District Career Pathways Center
Wanna get college credit while in high school? Wanna chance to get EMT certified, learn construction blueprints, or learn about juvenile justice? You can take free classes at the District Career Pathways Center and get college credit while in high school. Check out this amazing list of classes you could sign up for, here is even more descriptions, if you need it! They are during the school day and free! You can take buses to them for free! Many of them include a paid internship! You must be in a DCPC class to be eligible for the internship.
Saint Paul Parks and Rec Paid Positions
Love sports and want to be paid to be a part of it? Saint Paul Parks and Rec needs umpires/refs for youth sports. Check out this link to learn more. They also need scorekeepers! Must be 16+ for refs and umpires, but only 14+ for scorekeepers.
Bank of America Student Leaders Program
Juniors and Seniors interested in finance, accounting, or business: Consider applying for the Bank of America Student Leaders Program. This is an 8 week employment program (you would work for a non-profit here in Saint Paul) and includes an all expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. for their Youth Leaders Summit. If you want to learn more, here is the link. That is also where you apply. The application requires a letter of recommendation. It is due by January 17!
CLUES Career Pathways
The Best Buy Teen Tech Center at CLUES (7th and Arcade) has three awesome opportunities! You can learn Film Making, Get some help on Resumes and Networking, or work in Project Invent (coding, designing, marketing). See this form to apply.
Earn As You Learn
This program provides SPPS high school students the opportunity to earn a $300 stipend to learn financial literacy skills, earn a certificate and/or credential to show work readiness. Certificates include: Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, and/or Excel), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), CPR/First Aid/AED, Customer Sales and Service, and more!
The commitment of time is around 30 to 50 hours.

Are you interested in law enforcement? Join the Ramsey County Sheriff Police Explorers! 14-21 welcomed! See the flyer here! There is also a Saint Paul Police Department Explorer Post, learn more here!
Chatterbox (Podcasting and Communications)
Learn about podcasting and other communication techniques with Chatterbox! This program is located across the street at First Covenant Church. All are welcomed!

- Ramsey County Library offers many events for "teens." Some are on location, some are virtual. Check it out here.
- There is a Best Buy Teen Tech Center here in our neighborhood! Do you need a quiet place to study? Need some tutoring? Are you looking for access to technology? Check out the Best Buy Teen Tech Center at CLUES! There is an open house Wednesday, Nov. 22! Here is the flyer and Here is their website.
- Check out CREATECH at Arlington Hills Library. Here is more information and available dates. Its for 12-18 year olds! There is also a Homework Center at Arlington Hills and Dayton's Bluff and Sun Ray. All start at 4 until 7pm if you need a quiet place to do work or some tutoring help!
